True Blue
My cousin is getting married in the end of May, she requested me to look for a blue party dress. Blue is one of my favourite colour this past two seasons, but it's difficult to get a blue party dress, for me party is normally just black, off-white or nude colour... but it's such an out-of-the-box experience for me...
I went for a search, I can't say that I found one, because this is so far from what I wanted.. my criteria is simple, edgy, comfie and not just another long party dress...
Something like the above would be nice..well, maybe not for the evening dinner, rather for the church service..but you got what I mean..
then I found this in Dorothy Perkins the other day... material-wise, it's not considered as a dress for a night out party, rather it's a cocktail dress for a day.
The material is soft cotton, so definitely not the usual party dress, but na ja... this is my back up plan, if I can't find a better one, at least I have this.

So my plan is, since my dress is very informal, I will spark it up a bit, by pastel yellow bracelet and strappy yellow sandals... but where to find those guys?
I bought an over-sized blue clutch from a local brand to go a long with this dress, but I am yet to find the jewelry and the shoes. Once I found those, I am going to do a yellow mani/pedi and I am good to go for a Spring wedding. Voila!!
So obviously, yellow is the IT colour for this season, along with Tangerine orange... so I browse Torry Burch's website to find the perfect shoes...well this is not what I imagine, but again..not bad..
Jewelry wise...these guys will probably be nice... yet still far from what I was drooling for..
Well.. but you know me and my big chunky jewelries...
ok see ya darl
Etsy Fatsy...
I guys by now all of us, fashionistas are pretty familiar with Etsy... yea, this site is facilitating home-designers/ jewelers, vintage hunters/ sellers... I like browsing around Etsy... their prices can be super duper expensive, ridiculous!
But, some are very affordable. Ok..these are my wish list from Etsy :)

Wedding Pin Board
No, I am not getting married just yet, but someday if I do... these are pinned on my inspiration board...
When I was young, I was dreaming of a grand wedding, but as I am getting older, it's a bit different now... grand wedding doesn't mean anything, the life after the wedding does!
You can call me shallow, but I am still the girl who loves fine things...
This is so fine, yet a bit too bright for my taste..
While this one is a bit too dark... but it's such a romantic table setting, isn't it?
For once, I think pink is kinda nice too...
I kinda like this too but I would probably change the flowers..
I saved the best for last, I really really like this one, everything is just perfect!
I also like the gown, but not too sure if I can pull it off.
Such a nice centre piece...
This one is so me..
If I really have to choose, I think this Vera Wang dress won me over!

FAQ - Beauty Addict
1. On average, for application of your typical day-to-day work/college makeup, how long do you spend?
I do my make up, my hair and dress up all at the same time every time I go out. I am a bit all over the place, you know?! Usually, to get the result I want it will take me one and half hours, but one hour is enough for me to get ready.
2. On average, for application of your going out/special makeup, how long do you spend?
It's the same as the answer for Q1, it takes me around 1 to 1.5 hours to get ready. No matter what!
3. If you were to be stranded on a desert island, which 4 products would you want with you?
Before I start answering, I just want to let you know that this question has been asked to my friends to test how well they do know me. Most of them said I would bring a suit case full of make up, shoes, and clothes. When I read it, it really sounds shallow actually xD and I guess it's not true, when I know I will get stranded somewhere, maybe I will bring lot and lotsa canned food (with the can opener of course) and bottle water.
But in the case of make up, I will bring with me (I won't bring make up as noone will see me with it anyway!):
- my holy grail product, Biotherm moisturizer
- La roche posay skin toner for sensitive skin
- Tanning oil with sun protector (SPF 25)
- leave in conditioner for my hair
4.What beauty 'must haves' do you always carry in your handbag?
I am obsessed with lips, I never touch up my make up, but I always get very annoyed when I forgot to bring my lips products like lip balm, lip gloss anything. When the product I put in the morning came off, I really feel the urge to put on (I try as much not to let my lips get dried).
5. Which drugstore brand would be your favourite?
I don't have any particular feeling to any of the drug store brand, but most of the time I will end up with Maybelline or Bourjois. Now, I got sucked into buying more and more GOSH, this girl really sell it to me.
6. High Street or High End makeup?
If I have the money, there is no doubt that I will go for the high end brands. But for now, I try to minimize my make up expense; as a consequence, I buy 'important' products such as foundation, concealer, primers from the high end brands and 'not-so important' products like eye shadow, mascara, etc. from high street brands.
Sometimes, high street brands are not that bad either. You just need to experiment a bit.
7. On average, how long does it take you to get dressed/select your outfit?
I always do my make up, hair and choosing my clothes all at the same time, so I cannot tell. It also depends whether I have already planned an outfit the night before or not; it really saves time but I am always too lazy to do that in a regular basis.
8. On average, how long does it take you to get ready for a special occasion/night out?
1 to 1.5 hours.
9. If you could only choose one item of clothing from your wardrobe, ie jeans which would be your favourite?
Without taking the shitty weather here into account, I think I will go with a nice summery dress.
10. What outfit gives you instant feel-good factor?
A cute dress, black opaque tights, shoe-boots (or any killing shoes that match with the rest), with edgy accessories will do!
11. Which shops do you favour?
I love River Island, I also love Urban Outfitter but unfortunately they don't have any branch here and they aren't willing to ship to the Netherlands either. I don't deny that I buy a lot from Zara and Mango, but it's mainly because those are easily accessible and affordable.
12. High Street or High End clothes?
Again, if someday I don't need to worry about money, I will surely go for the high end, even though I am also 100% sure that I can't keep myself away completely from those high-street brands because I just love the idea of spending money on clothes, shoes, belts, etc.
Looking at the runway shows and the products they have to offer, I think I am gonna go with Lanvin, Burberry Prosum, LV and channel as my fave high end designer brands.

What am I using at the moment TAG
I have been a loyal reader and viewer to Lollipop26 and I found out the tag that she stole from her neighbor is kinda fun to do, so this is me participating in it.
BODY
What I am using at the moment as for:
HAIR
- Shampoo & Conditioner: Head and Shoulder (it's a two in one product - I thought it cannot be any easier, right?)
- Heat protector: NAK Heat Beat, which is I am very satisfied with; but I found it a bit expensive (18 eur). I really like the smell of it and it also has a formula of leave-in conditioner, which is always good, right? Due to the high price range, I tried to find a cheaper option (only cost me 5 eur) and I went with Tom Sebastian heat protector as well as volume boosting spray. I tried it a couple of time already, but I kinda hate the smell of it. I don't know if I am gonna be switching back to the Nak. I think it's kinda important for me to have a good heat protector as I blow dry and also straighten my hair almost every day.
- Styling product: I have a lot but I mainly use L'oreal Studio fix and shine finishing spray.
Any other remarks: That's all I use. I don't use any hair mask or anything like that.
FACE (beware - it's a lot!)
Skin care
- Cleanser: Avene gel cleanser for very sensitive skin
- Tonic: Louis Widmer Skin appeal Lipo Sol Lotion (for my forehead) & La Roche-Posay solution micellaire Physiologique (for the rest) - I have oily & acne prone forehead and dry & sensitive skin --> I only use this in the evening and only if I use make up.
- Lotion: Biotherm Nutrisource for a very dry and sensitive skin (made with not only water, but also natural oil, it's expensive, 40 eur, but worthed) --> it is so good especially if you have a very very dry skin like me! I tried so many skin cream out there to fix my dry skin, but nothing works except this one. I use this day and night but only for cheek and nose. Another lotion for my forehead is Neutrogena Visible clear spot stress control, which is not sold in the Netherlands. I bought this in Berlin (around 6 eur), but honestly, I don't really see the differences that much, I still get acne every now and then and they do not disappear right away after the first application. So, I might not buy this one again.
- Serum: Vitamin E moisture serum from the Body shop (I am loving it!!!! Definitely will buy another one when it's finished!) & camomile soothing eye serum, also from the Body Shop. It doesn't give me any difference, but it definitely calms me down from wrinkles, etc.
Make Up (it's not in order of application)
- Foundation Primer: Make Up Forever HD primer in green (to eliminate redness)
- Foundation: Currently, I am liking Maybelline dream matte mousse in 030 sand.
- Powder: Good old Studio fix by MAC, I am a C4.
- Blush: nothing - I do have some, but I am not in the mood of applying any of the colour on the apple of my cheeks.
- Bronzer: Sephora bronzer
- Eye shadow primer: Two faced shadow insurance
- Eye shadow combi: light brown & dark brown from two faced glamour to go palette
- Eye liner: Mac eye kohl pencil in Teddy (and I smudge that with sephora dome shadow brush number 13).
- Eye lashes curler:Maybelline Stretch and define, waterproof - It has to be waterproof otherwise my lashes won't stay up that long.
- Mascara: Shu Uemura eye lashes curler - amazing!
- Brows: Anna Sui (don't know the colour and the number)
- Lips: First, I always apply lip balm on and currently I am using Yves Rocher in coconut and then lately I am so into combining: Barry M touch of magic lipstick in green and Gosh lipstick in Darling then put a clear gloss on top.
- Make up remover: Avene eau thermal extremely gentle cleanser for sensitive and irritated skin
- Eye Make up remover: The Body Shop waterproof cammomile eye make up remover. I have another eye make up remover from Sephora, but it contains alcohol in it and it hurst my eye lids.
- Shower Gel: Dove Go Fresh shower gel - smells so good!
- Body Lotion: Dove Body Silk
- Perfume:Sheer by Stella Mc Cartney
- Nail colour: now I am not wearing anything, I give my nails a break but I was putting on the body shop nail polish in angel pink before.
That's it, so I am really into make up currently as you can see!
Anyway a new eye shadow palette coming soon! I am so excited.
So, I will leave this tag open as always....cause I don't want to leave somebody behind by not tagging them. Please ladies (and also gents), if you wanna do this tag, please do and let me know in the comment below, so I can visit and read what you are using currently...
thanks!

Drugstore Haul, EOTD and food xD
Before I start with my haul and EOTD (read: eyes of the day), in line with my own slogan written in the bottom of the page, "FASHION IS LIKE FOOD, THEY ARE STARTED WITH AN F AND BOTH ARE FEEDING YOUR SOULS"

Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy! Next post will be about my sort of 'new vanity area' and my skin care regime. Bear with me!
I just want to show off my cooking ability. About two weeks ago, I cooked stir-fried scallops with sugar snap peas. Below is how the result looked like.
Enjoy the food first, before we get into the haul part!
Here you go!
Today, I went to a drug store to buy shampoos, heat protector for my hair and whatnot. In a sudden, I remember her and her contest's prize a while ago so I thought I will give it a try. I actually realized that nude lipstick never really suit me, because my lips are naturally pale and nude, so having a nude lipstick, brownish lipstick - whatever - will make my lips even paler and unattractive. But, somehow, I still believe that there must be one kind of nude lipstick that will suit me, I just have to find it! When I swatched GOSH velvet lipstick in darling (7.99 eur) on the back of my hand, I thought,"Wow, this is not so bad at all, it's not as brown as my mac honey love, which doesn't suit me completely. Maybe this is the one!"
That's that, I know I am a sucker so I brought that to the cashier and paid that along with three other pigments from GOSH in Meringue, Butterfly and Satin (6.99 eur each) and an eye shadow quad from Rimmel (9.99 eur). I know, I don't expect good pigmentation from the eye shadow quad, but I thought, I didn't really have a silver and grey eye shadows for every day make up and I believe for every day make up, I don't need good pigmentation. When I swatched them on, the colour pay off was quite good (up to my standard) so I also picked it to the cashier.
Here you go!
GOSH Pigments in Satin, Meringue and Butterfly
GOSH Lipstick in Darling (134)
Rimmel Eye shadow Quad in 001 Smokey Noir
Swatches: Meringue - Satin - Butterfly
My verdict:
- Rimmel Quad: I don't recommend people to buy their colourful eye shadows, I bought this because I see it as my daily necessity. You know what I mean, right? If you have the money, you should just go to MAC or Nars and buy their eye shadow.
- GOSH pigments: the pigmentation is also not as good as mac pigment, these are more like micro glitters, which are quite good if you just want to spark your eye make up. Or, you can mix the GOSH pigment in meringue (the left one in the swatch picture above) with your foundation to get a glowy canvass.
- GOSH Velvet Lipstick: The quality is quite good actually, I might buy another colour in the future.
Now, on to my eyes of the day(Request from my honeybee). Please excuse my blemishes and oily forehead.
Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy! Next post will be about my sort of 'new vanity area' and my skin care regime. Bear with me!
Doei!
PS:
- I can't stop laughing at the last picture of my EOTD, look at my bottom lip! Somehow I like to pout my bottom lip in all of my EOTD pictures today. I was a bit hesitant to post this picture, na ja... whatever! Hahaha...
- And in this picture, I wore the nude GOSH lipstick on with Lancaster glamour gloss in coral colour (I ripped off the name nor the number of the lipgloss! Sorry!)
- I really need to have my eyebrows groomed!
